Put simply, Joomla! is a method of creating websites. I'm using it now.
I've been using Joomla! for about four years. It takes a while to learn how to create a website with Joomla! but the payoff comes during the lifetime of the website. It's easy to add articles, make small changes and add features. If a website grows really big, Joomla! will handle it. Best of all, Joomla! costs nothing because it's open source.
Before you create a website, there are technical aspects to consider like domain names, hosting and email. Here's a useful hint: You can save a lot of money by not having your website hosted in NZ. This website is a good example. Could you tell that it's hosted in the United States?
